Stephen Luke
Stephen Luke serves as the Director of Research for the National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY). In this role Dr. Luke leads the research activities for the center including the identification, evaluation, and synthesis of educational research pertaining to students with disabilities. He also collaborates with a nationwide network of leading researchers and practitioners in the field of education to promote scientifically-based research and practice.
Dr. Luke brings over 17 years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research in the fields of education, psychology, and sociology. He has held research and teaching appointments at number of respected institutions including Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, MIT’s Department of Brain and Cognition, Yale University’s Department of Pediatric Neurology, Boston’s Children Hospital, Cornell University, Wesleyan University, Haskins Laboratories, and Boston University. He has also worked as a practitioner in a variety of applied settings serving children with cognitive, behavioral, and emotional disabilities. Dr. Luke holds a Doctorate and Masters of Education from Harvard University, a Masters of Psychology from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
